Case Battles: a new battle room and gift seats

Follow every seat with running totals, live jackpot chances and player pictures, gift seats to other players, and share PvP rooms to chat.

Case Battles has a brand-new battle room, built so you can follow every seat at a glance. You can now pay for other players' seats too, and share PvP rooms to chat.

In the new battle room:

  • The header is one row: the back button, the mode, the format, the case count, the case track, Share to chat and the viewer count. The reels sit higher on your screen, and on narrow screens the header takes two rows.
  • The case being opened sits in the middle of the case track, right above the middle of the reels.
  • Every seat card shows the player's website picture inside their seat colour. Bots carry a small bot icon.
  • Each player's running total sits on their seat card in every mode and counts in as each of their items lands. In team battles, every player shows their own total.
  • In a jackpot battle, each seat shows its live chance of winning the draw, updated once every item in a round has landed. In team battles it shows the team's chance.
  • The reels sit straight on the page, with each item's name and value under it as it lands.
  • Each item lands with a burst of light in its rarity colour. Uncommon and rarer items then wear a swirl, richer the rarer they are.
  • At the end, the winner takes the stage. Their picture sits in a fine ring with a crown, their winnings count up, then a soft light sweeps across the stage over rising gold dust. Everyone else's total sits underneath, with Replay and Recreate. When a bot wins, the stage simply names it.

Gift seats let you pay for other players' seats:

  • When you create a battle, step 4 is Gift seats. Pay for any other seat, then give it to a player from chat or open it to anyone.
  • The player you invite gets a card in the room to take their seat or decline it, an alert in their bell and a mention in chat. The seat costs them nothing.
  • In the room, your seat plan shows when the battle starts on its own, and lets you invite someone else, open a seat to anyone, or add or remove a bot.
  • If a bot ends up in a seat you paid for, you get that seat's cost back automatically when the battle starts, and your bell lets you know.

Also new:

  • Share to chat is on every public PvP room at every stage, and you can share one even if you're only watching: Case Battles, Plinko Battles, Coinflip PvP, Dice Duel, Last Man Standing, Bomb Race, RPS Duel, Hi-Lo Showdown and Tower Race.
  • An open room's card in chat has a Join button. Once the room starts, its card says Watch live, then Watch replay, and it never shows the result. Each room has one card in chat at a time.
  • The Case Battles and Plinko Battles lobbies show each player's website picture.
